Born in Bucharest in 1955.

Graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Technology in Bucharest with specialization in artistic glass.

After emigrating to Belgium he set up his own workshop, where he works now with his wife and son.

Kalman's speciality is hand blown and lampworked objects combined with delicate metal ornaments.

His works are on show in galleries in Brussels, Amsterdam, Monte Carlo and Tel Aviv.
